- Wait approx. 30mins of drying time for every 5mm of product
Handy hints:
- Achieve desired thickness by building up layers (allowing each to dry before applying the next)
- A hair dryer can be used to speed up drying process, allow final layer to air dry (to minimise chance of cracking)
- Clean up with warm soapy water while wet

- Very good lightfastness: Mont Marte Premium Oil Paints have a lightfast rating of 6 or above (equivalent to ASTM2). This means that under museum lighting conditions, the pigment will remain unchanged for 50-100 years
- Slower drying time gives you more flexibility to experiment with layering, blending and brush techniques
- Touch dry after 3-4 days (completely cures in 6-12 months)

Handy hints:
- Use oil paints with wooden palettes (solvents such as turpentine and white spirits may damage plastic palettes)
- Change paint consistency by adding small amounts of turpentine and linseed oil
- Prepare your surface with a coat of primer
